Initial Report:
On 14 January 2026, Asterix The Long Firefighting Dog NPC – Fire & Emergency Support Service issued an urgent public-safety warning after three active motor vehicle accident scenes were reported on the R71 Magoebaskloof Pass.
One of the incidents was reported as a serious motor vehicle accident with entrapment near the Samango Lodge turnoff.
