Initial Report:
Early on Sunday morning, 2 November 2025, Asterix The Long Firefighting Dog NPC – Fire & Emergency Support Service received a call from a distressed vehicle owner after a large tree branch had broken and fallen onto her car in the Annecke Street area of Premier Park, Tzaneen.
Situation on Arrival:
The branch was resting directly on the vehicle, creating a risk of additional damage if it shifted or was removed without careful control.
The priority was therefore to remove the branch in a controlled manner while protecting the vehicle from further impact.
Asterix Response:
The Asterix team carefully assessed the position and weight of the fallen branch before beginning removal.
The branch was progressively cut and removed in a controlled manner to reduce the load on the vehicle and prevent sections from dropping or shifting unexpectedly.
Outcome:
The vehicle was successfully freed and removed from beneath the fallen branch.
Despite the size of the branch and the potential for significant damage, the vehicle was recovered without any additional scratches or dents being caused during the removal operation.
