Initial Report:
During the evening of 27 October 2025, Asterix The Long Firefighting Dog NPC – Fire & Emergency Support Service responded to a report of a fire in the Douglas Street area of Aqua Park, Tzaneen.
Situation on Arrival:
On arrival, the team established that a heap of garden refuse had been set alight.
There was no immediate threat to surrounding structures at the time of the response. However, open burning of garden refuse in residential areas can create unnecessary fire and smoke hazards, particularly during dry or windy conditions.
