Initial Report:
At approximately 11:01 on 23 July 2026, reports were received of a serious motor vehicle accident on the R71 between the Spur entrance and Tzaneen Show Grounds in Tzaneen.
Asterix The Long Firefighting Dog NPC – Fire & Emergency Support Service responded as part of the emergency response to the incident.
Situation on Arrival:
Upon arrival of responding services, it was established that the collision involved a light motor vehicle and a truck.
The seriousness of the accident was confirmed at the scene.
Sadly, despite the efforts of the emergency personnel present, the incident resulted in a fatality.
Out of respect for the deceased and those affected by the collision, no unnecessary personal or graphic details are included in this permanent record.
